Joel Barnett served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury 1974-79; Member of Cabinet 1977-79 and was raised to the peerage as Baron Barnett, of Heywood and Royton in 1983.[1] He was also Vice-Chairman of the BBC 1986-93, he is on the Board of Trustees of the Global Warming Policy Foundation [2]
Financial Interests
His declaration on the Lords register of interests is a Director and shareholder of Mercury Recycling Group plc[3]
