Background

On its website Jain states it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Madhya Pradesh for the establishment of a 1,320 MW Thermal Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh. No location or proposed commissioning date is disclosed.

The July 2011 Ministry of Coal list of applicants for coal allocations includes this project as item #208 and the location as Birhulee, Shahdol.

However, as of 2014 the power station has not received environmental clearance, and may have been cancelled.
