Background

The Mumbai-Manmad Pipeline was extended by 358 km to Mangliya in 2003.[2] The purpose of the expansion was to meet increasing demand of Madhya Pradesh and northern parts of India. The Pipeline was subsequently extended from Mangliya to Piyala (Faridabad, Haryana) and Bijwasan (Delhi), adding a 722-km Manglya-Piyala section and a 57-km Piyala-Bijwasan section in 2007.[2]
