Background

Map Ta Phut LNG Terminal is an LNG import terminal in Rayong, Thailand, owned by PTT LNG. It was commissioned in 2011 with capacity of 5 mtpa. Most of the imported gas comes from Qatar and Malaysia.[1]

In 2017, the terminal's capacity was expanded to 10 mtpa.[2][3]

Expansion 1 Background

An additional 1.5 mtpa expansion is planned for 2019.[4] In July 2019 it was reported that the expansion had been commissioned.[5]
