{{#badges: ToxicSludge}} The Mid-Atlantic Biosolids Association (MABA) is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting the use of sewage sludge as fertilizer. MABA was founded in 1998.

Involvement in San Francisco Sludge Controversy

In March 2010, MABA sent a letter to Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco supporting the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission's sewage sludge compost giveaway program.[1] In the letter, they claim that "biosolids use on soils, in accordance with regulations, presents negligible risk."
