Background

ONEOK Partners LP’s Midwestern Gas Transmission Pipeline is a natural gas pipeline. It's 366 miles, but with connections to larger systems and the ability to move gas bidirectionally from Chicago and the Ohio River Valley. The system has a total capacity of 650 million cubic feet per day and seven compressor stations. The pipeline is connected to Alliance Pipeline, Northern Border Pipeline, Tennessee Gas Pipeline, Trunkline and Texas Gas Transmission. It extends from Portland, Tennessee to Joliet, Illinois. The gas is supplied from both Canada via the Alliance Gas Pipeline and domestically from the Rockies Express Gas Pipeline.
