Background

Monkey Island LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal in Louisiana, United States.[2] The project site is on a deep water port along the Calcasieu Ship Channel, and is expected to be in operation by 2023.[3] Monkey Island LNG is expected to begin the Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission pre-filing procedure in 2017.[4]

There have been no development updates in over two years, and the project is presumed to be shelved.
