Biography
Myron Johnston specialized in analyzing the price elasticity of various cigarette market segments, particularly blacks, women, youth. He was knowledgeable about the effect of price increases on youth initiation, quitting, and sales among various demographic segments. He worked out of Philip Morris Research Center at Richmond, Virginia in 1975. [Butler 2021648905-13, (P.O.)] Johnston has done or has knowledge about analysis of the youth market. Myron Johnston's duties at PM included collecting and analyzing economic, demographic, and smoking prevalence data, brand usage information, and consumption data relevant to PM business, and using it to predict future trends.[1]
