Background

In 2011 Okinawa Electric power proposed building the Nakagusuku LNG Terminal in Kyushu, Japan.[1]

The Nakagusuku LNG Terminal would have two 140,000 kl tanks and supplies the Yoshinoura LNG Thermal Power Plant.[1] The terminal would handle 24.6 million m3 per day of LNG.[2]

As of March 2019 there has been no further news about this project and it appears to be cancelled.
