Scandals
Nawaz Sharif was the focus a judicial inquiry into a multi-million-dollar financial scandal in 1991 while PM. The financial scandal, which centered on the collapse of several of the country's co-operatives. Opposition politicians, sacked from government in 1990 for alleged corruption, have not been slow to level similar charges against Nawaz Sharif and the ruling Islamic Democratic Party (IDP). [1]
