The Northern Gas Pipeline, or Obaiyed-Amreya gas pipeline, is an existing natural gas pipeline, running from Obaiyed gas field to Amreya oil & gas plant, Egypt.

The pipeline runs from Obaiyed gas field, Matruh governorate, to Amreya oil & gas plant, Alexandria governorate, Egypt.

Background

The 34-inch Northern Gas Pipeline apparently handles all of the gas exported from the Khalda concession, Martouh concession, Ras Kanayis concession, Ras El Hekma concession, Umbarka concession, and South Umbarka concession. As of 2004 it was owned jointly by Apache Corporation and Shell.
