The Ovoot Tolgoi mine is a Mongolian coal mine being progessively developed by SouthGobi Resources Ltd. The company states that the total proven and probable surface coal reserves 114.1 million tonnes. The mine, which began producing coal in 2008, is projected to be 6.5 million tonnes in 2011 and reaching full capacity at 8 million tonnes in 2012.[1]
