Background

Pecém LNG Terminal is is a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Ceara, Brazil.[2] It is the first flexible liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal in Brazil, and is capable of transferring 7 million cubic meters of LNG per day to the Guamaré-Pecém gas Pipeline. The terminal supplies the Ceará and Fortaleza thermal power plants.[3]

In June 2016, Petrobras put the Pecém LNG terminal up for sale.[4]
