Background on Plant

The Petkim power station, also known as PETKOJEN, is a project of SOCAR Power which aims to replace PETKIM Petrochemical’s aged steam and electricity generation plant with a new 205 MW coal-fired power station.[1][2]

In October 2016 the project was called off.[3][4]
