Polat power station

Background on Plant
The 51-MW coal-fired Polat Tunçbilek power station was first licensed by Polat Enerji in 2003. The plant came online in November 2013.[2][3]
Expansion plans
Several media sources mention a further 300-MW coal-fired generating capacity expansion in the Tunçbilek area; it seems to be the case that this capacity increase is in addition to the new 300-MW Kütahya Domaniç power station in neighboring Domaniç district, and that this additional 300 MW will be added to the new Polat Tunçbilek plant, bringing that plant to 351 MW. It is unclear when this 300-MW expansion for Polat Tunçbilek would begin;[3][4] a 2014 article states it is planned for "later stages."[5]
As of January 2018 there have been no developments on the project, and plans appear to be abandoned.
