Port of Dalian

The Port of Dalian consists of Daliangang, Dalianwan, Xianglujiao, Nianyuwan, Ganjinzi, Heizuizi, Si'ergou and Dayaowan port areas.

The port lies at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning province.
Background
The port was founded in 1899. It is the largest multi-purpose port in Northeast China serving the seaports North Asia, East Asia and the Pacific Rim, and is the second largest container transshipment hub in mainland China. Port of Dalian is owned and managed by the state-owned Dalian Port Corporation Limited. Port of Dalian handles at least 100 million in cargo throughput annually.[1]
The port handled 10.8 million tonnes of coal in 2013, down from 13.17 million in 2012. Dalian Port Corporation attributed the decline to lower demand.[2]
Port of Dalian is also a major coal export facility and ships primarily to Heilongjiang Longmay Mining Holding Group Co.
