The port is situated between the mouths of rivers Tuapse and Pauk, on the northeast shore of the Black Sea.

Background

The capacity of the terminal is 17 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), including 13 mtpa for oil. The terminal is used mainly to export oil products manufactured at the Tuapse, Achinsk and Samara refineries.[1] The port also handled 2.8 million tonnes of coal in 2012,[2] and 2.1 million tonnes in 2015.[3]
