Location

The port includes two separate dockland areas, the Yingkou old port at the mouth of the Liao River, and the Bayuquan port located directly on Liaodong Bay on the Bohai Sea.[1]

Background

In 2010, the Port of Yingkou's throughput exceeded 260 million tonnes. A partnership between the Port of Yingkou and Huangeng Yingkou Port Company Ltd. operates the coal-handling terminal. The Port of Yingkou Bayuquan area coal terminal is located in the A basin and contains Berths 1 through 6. It has an annual turnover of 35 million tonnes.[2]
