Public Storage, Inc., based in Glendale, California, U.S., is the largest self-storage company in the world. Besides facilities in the U.S., it is also has storage facilities in seven European countries. It owns 45% of PS Business Parks, a real estate company which invests in office buildings. In 2006, Public Storage bought self-storage company Shurgard Storage. [1] [2]

Bradley Wayne Hughes, founder and Chairman of Public Storage, is listed in Forbes as having a personal fortune of US$4.1 billion. [3]
