Background

Rabaska LNG Terminal was a proposed LNG terminal in Quebec, Canada.[1]

The Rabaska LNG Terminal would have been capable of delivering 14.2 million cubic metres per day of LNG.[1] However, the project was put on hold "for good" in 2011, and thus is presumed to be cancelled.[2]

Opposition

The project was controversial from its proposal. Though the environment board of Quebec approved the project, many area residents were concerned about the possible impact on the health of the public, home and property values, and public security.[3]
