Red Hawk Energy
{{#badges: CoalSwarm| Climate change}}RedHawk Energy Corporation acquires and consolidates domestic oil and gas equipment manufacturing and servicing companies.[1] In 2009, the Mt. Poso Cogeneration Plant in California was jointly owned by Northern Star Generation LLC, National Petroleum Associates, and Red Hawk Energy, with each partner owning one-third.[2] As of 2012, the plant is co-owned instead by MacPherson Oil Company and DTE Energy.[3]
Mt. Poso Cogeneration Company planned for its plant to be the first cogeneration conversion from fossil fuel to 100% renewable biomass - agricultural and residential green waste from nearby areas. The conversion was expected to be completed by September 2010,[4] but reportedly was actually finished in February 2012.[3]
