Project Details

Background

RH will purchase 26 miles of existing 12-inch and 5 miles of existing 8-inch natural gas pipeline from EmKey Gathering. It will qualify these facilities for conversion to natural gas transmission service, and will extend the system to its planned terminus through construction of the Risberg Line

In December 2018 the project received FERC approval to begin construction.

As of August, 2019, construction was nearing completion, with an expected completion date of mid-fall 2019. The pipeline was commissioned in December 2019.

Dominion Energy Ohio has contracted with RH Energytrans to deliver 40 million cubic feet of natural gas a day. A proposed pig iron plant is expected to boost daily flow to 55 million cubic feet.
