Background

The project has been proposed by Global Powmin. The Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) states the project was approved by the Bihar State Investment Board in June 2010. BSEB states that the project will comprise four 660MW units and require 2200 acres of land.

As of 2014 the project has not received environmental clearance, and may have been shelved.
