Project Details

  • Operator: Mott MacDonald
  • Parent Company: Mott MacDonald
  • Proposed capacity:
  • Length: 137 mi / 220 km
  • Status: Proposed
  • Start Year: 2023

Background

In July 2019 the project was approved by the Directorate-General for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.[1] The project's sponsor Mott MacDonald began design work in November 2019 and hopes to complete it by Q3 2020.[2] The pipeline's route is partially redundant with the proposed Ionian Adriatic Gas Pipeline. The pipeline will provide an alternative gas source for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is almost entirely dependent on Russia for gas.[1]
