Summit FSRU is a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal off the coast of southwest Chittagong, Bangladesh.

Location
The below satellite image shows the location of the terminal offshore Bangladesh's Moheshkhali Island in the Bay of Bengal.

Background
In January 2017, Summit Group signed an initial contract with Petrobangla to set up a liquefied natural gas terminal on Moheshkhali Island in Cox's Bazar at a cost of about US $500 million. It would have capacity of 3.5 mtpa. Summit said it would develop the floating facilities within 18 months of signing the final contract.[1][2]
In January 2019, Summit announced that it expected the FSRU to begin operations in March 2019.[3] The FSRU was commissioned in April 2019.[4]
