Suralaya coal terminal is a coal-loading facility located on the north coast of Java island, about 80km to the west of Jakatra, Indonesia.

Background

The terminal has a capacity of 28,000 to 35,000 tonnes per day, and 3.75 million tonnes a year. It is owned by the State Power Company of Indonesia (PT PLN Persero).

The terminal receives coal from Bukit Asam Coal Mining Company operations in South Sumatra for use at the 4,025 MW coal-fired Banten Suralaya power station.
