Pakistan's Thar Desert coal projects include a number of coal mines and mine-mouth generating plants based on the massive coal reserves of the Thar area, in Sindh province. The plants include the following:

Reserves and CO2 Emissions
Overall reserves in the Thar Desert are placed at 175 billion tonnes.[1]
- Thar SSRL power station (1320 MW): 6.5 million tonnes per year (eventually 20 million tons per year)
- Thar Block VI power station (1320 MW) - 6.5 mtpa
- Thar Block II power station (660 MW + 330 MW) - 5 mtpa
- Thar Block III power station - (1320 MW) - 6.5 mtpa
- Hubco Thar Block II minemouth power station (330 MW) - 1.625 mtpa
- Siddiqsons power station (330 MW) - 1.625 mtpa
CO2 equivalent (if 5610 MW developed): 23.1 - 23.9 million tonnes per year[2]
