Toyama Shinko is a 500 megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station consisting of two units of 250 MW each. It is owned by Hokuriku Power Company.[1][2]
Hokuriku Power had planned to retire Unit 1 in 2018, but in December 2017 announced that Unit 1 would continue to operate until 2024.[3]
