"Sir Vernon Ellis joined the Board of Directors at FTI Consulting, Inc. in 2012 and serves as a member of the Audit Committee. Prior to retiring in 2010, as Chairman, having previously been Chairman International, Sir Vernon spent his career at Accenture LLP in a number of major operational roles, including overseeing a period of strong growth. Through the 1990’s, Sir Vernon led Accenture’s operations in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. He also developed Accenture’s relationship with the World Economic Forum, including Accenture’s activities at Davos. In his role as Chairman International, Sir Vernon led the global Corporate Citizenship Activities of Accenture. Sir Vernon was also the founder Chairman of Accenture Development Partnership.
"Currently, Sir Vernon is Chair of the British Council, the UK’s International Cultural Relations organization. The British Council employs over 7,000 people and operates in 110 countries. Since taking the Chair, he has led the Board and management through an extensive reframing of the strategy and organization structure. He is Chairman of Martin Randall Travel Ltd., the leading cultural tours company in the United Kingdom, and One Medicare, a company providing primary health care services in the United Kingdom. He is also involved in a number of arts organizations, principally as President of the English National Opera and Chairman of the National Opera Studio. He is Chair of the UK Honours Committee for Arts and Media.Sir Vernon Ellis holds a philosophy, politics and economics degree from Oxford University." [1]
Vernon Ellis is the International Chairman ofAccenture with responsibility for the leadership of the firm’s external relations. Ellis represents the firm in public forums,chairing Accenture’s Corporate Citizenship Council, which oversees all Accenture’s community involvement, volunteer and Foundation activities. Ellis joined the firm in 1969 after graduating from Magdalen College, Oxford, with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He is a regular chairman, moderator and speaker at institutions such as the World Economic Forum.
