Biographical Details

"Veronica Wadley, London Chair, is the former editor of the London Evening Standard. During her seven years as editor, she championed the arts and chaired the Evening Standard Theatre and Film Awards.

"In the last year, she has joined the board of the Northern Ballet Theatre, the Mayor of London's Music Education Steering Group, the Advisory Council of Arts & Business and worked as an advisor to Greenhouse Schools Project, a charity which provides sport and dance programmes in deprived areas of London. She has also worked as an advisor to a new digital arts business, Hibrow. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts." [1]

"In 2010, she was appointed to the GLA’s Music Education Steering Group and worked under the chairmanship of Karen Brock, head of Music Services in Tower Hamlets, to develop ideas about philanthropic giving to music education. She became a Governor of the Yehudi Menuhin School in 2012 and is on a number of Boards including Northern Ballet. She is also an advisor to the Greenhouse Schools Project.

"She was previously Deputy Editor of The Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail. Veronica is a lifelong supporter of the arts and chaired the Evening Standard Theatre Awards and Film Awards from 2002-2009." [2]
