Background

The Waupisoo pipeline, also known as line 18, transports tar sands oil beginning from the Cheecham terminal South to Edmonton, Alberta. The Waupisoo pipeline is 30 inches in diameter, 380 kilometers long, and maintains an annual capacity of 570,000 bpd.[2]
