"Over the past few years, the Hewlett Foundation has been able to steadily increase the total amount of its gifts and grants. In 2002, the Foundation distributed a total of $195,221,736. The following year the figure was $254,320,000. By 2004 it had increased to $268,669,188 and last year that total had risen to $319,916,093.
