Yichuan Longquan Kim Hyung power station

The power station replaced the 540 MW Yichuan-2 power station, which was retired in 2010.

Background on Plant

The two ultra-supercritical units of the 1,320 MW Yichuan Longquan Kim Hyungpower station went under construction in 2011 and were operating by May 2012 and May 2013, respectively. The total investment was 5.1 billion yuan. The new units were a "big pressure on the small" project that included the retirement of the four older 135 MW coal-fired units, known as Yichuan-2. Yichuan-2 was commissioned from 1995 to 1999 and retired in 2010.
