Background
ZW Nowa is a 150-megawatt coal and heat plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza, built between 1980-1992. Units 1-4 are 25 MW, and unit 5 is 50 MW.[1]
Unit 6
A new 55 MW unit 6 was completed in 2015.[2][3]
Ownership
In August 2014 Tauron Group signed a deal with ArcelorMittal steel conglomerate to create a new entity called JV Tameh Holding. Tauron said in a press release that the new entity will operate power generation assets currently held by both companies. Tameh’s assets will include the ZW Nowa heat and power plant.[4]
