Background on Plant

Alpler Enerji Liman Hizmetleri Madencilik Denizcilik A.Ş (Alpine Energy and Ports Mining Services Inc.) has proposed a coal-fired power station of 1320 MW in Mugam village, Turkey.

The project's EIA process was on hold for two years and the EIA has since been cancelled. The proposal does not appear any more on Turkey's EMRA license/permit lists as of June 2017. The project appears shelved.

As of June 2019 there has been no further progress and the project appears to be cancelled.
