Background on Plant

Alpler Enerji Liman Hizmetleri Madencilik Denizcilik A.Ş (Alpine Energy and Ports Mining Services Inc.) has proposed a coal-fired power station of 1320 MW in Mugam village, Turkey.[1]

The project's EIA process was on hold for two years and the EIA has since been cancelled. The proposal does not appear any more on Turkey's EMRA license/permit lists as of June 2017. The project appears shelved.[2]

As of June 2019 there has been no further progress and the project appears to be cancelled.
