Background on Plant
In February 2008, Modern Enerji (a subsidiary of Eren Holding) applied to build a 320-MW coal-fired power plant in Zonguldak province.[1][2]
More recent information on this proposal is not available, and this project is not mentioned on the subpage for Modern Enerji on Eren's website.[3] Eren's ZETES power station project is also located in Çatalağzı district; it would appear that that project has superseded the Zonguldak Modern project.
