The newly commissioned mine is producing 2.5 million tonnes of coal a year. Coal of Africa Limited describes itself as "the technical partner to the joint venture and has an exclusive off-take agreement for all the run-of-mine coal from Zonnebloem Coal Mine, most of which feeds CoAL’s wash plant at Woestalleen Colliery.[1]
