Anschutz Company
The Anschutz Company is a private, U.S. holding company started in 1958 by Denver multibillionaire Philip F. Anschutz. The company has interests in about 100 businesses including a majority share of Regal Entertainment Group which owns various theater chains such as United Artists Theatre Company, Regal Cinemas, and Edwards Theatres. In publishing, the company has interests in The San Francisco Examiner and The Washington Examiner among others. Anschutz also has the Los Angeles' Staples Center and four professional soccer teams. Philip F. Anschutz also founded Qwest Communications. [1]
