The Barkera Mill power station a proposed 80 megawatt coal-fired plant proposed by Bajaj Hindusthan (BHL), a part of the largest Indian sugar and ethanol manufacturing company, the Bajaj Group.

The project is proposed to be built in Uttar Pradesh. The exact location is not known.
Background
According to Platt's power station database, the proposed plant is scheduled to be commissioned in 2012.[1]
Following a prolonged downturn in global sugar prices, the Bajaj Group announced plans to diversify into the power generation industry. Initially, in 2008 Bajaj announced plans to establish 80MW power station at each of its five sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh. The company stated that it was aiming to sell half the power to the Utta Pradesh government and the remainder on the open market.[2]
Subsequently the company announced more ambitious plans to construct "two mega thermal power projects" in Uttar Pradesh with each proposed to produce 1,980 megawatts of power.[3]
