The Browse LNG Development is proposed gas development located near James Price Point, 60 kilometres north of Broome in Western Australia. The proposed project would process gas from thee gas fields over 400 kilometres offshore from Broome in Western Australia. The Browse Joint Venture comprises Woodside Energy, BHP Billiton, BP, Chevron and Shell.
On its website, Woodside states that the project is in the "Basis of Design phase" to determine "the major design parameters which would enable the optimal development of the offshore gas fields and the onshore facilities near James Price Point. The Basis of Design phase will be followed by Front End Engineering and Design in 2011 to enable a Final Investment Decision by mid-2012."[1]
