Drake Coal Project is a coal mine project proposed by Drake Coal, a subsidiary of QCoal Pty Ltd. The project is located 12 km south of Collinsville in Queensland’s north Bowen Basin.
An Environmental Impact Statement is currently being prepared for the project. The project, which has a commissioning date of 2012, is projected to produce 6 million tonnes of coal per annum.[1]
On its website the company states that "construction at the Project site is expected to commence in early 2012."[2]
