GDF SUEZ Energia Polska SA operates the coal-fired 1800 megawatt Polaniec Power Station which it describes as "the fifth largest electricity plant in the country and the largest plant in south-eastern Poland." GDF has proposed the construction of a 180 MW biomass unit at the Polaniec power station.[1]

Proposed plants
Leczna Power Station is a proposed 800 MW coal station by GDF SUEZ Energia Polska SA for Poland, near the Ukraine border. As of 2011 there is no visible construction, and the plant may be an alternative for the proposed Lublin Power Station in Poland.[2]
Lublin Power Station is a proposed 136 MW coal station announced in June 2010 by Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA, Poland’s largest power utility and GDF SUEZ Energia Polska SA. Each company will own 50 percent of the plant.[3] It is scheduled to be completed in 2018.[4]
