The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) was founded in 1990 and their "mission is to strengthen the role of women in the news media around the world, based on the belief that no press is truly free unless women share an equal voice." [1]
"The IWMF has built a network of women journalists from more than 100 countries. In addition to fostering alliances and connections, the network helps women in media share their strategies for success and access resources to help them achieve their goals." [2]
