The Poseidon system is a 367-mile network of crude oil pipelines, varying in diameter from 16 to 24 inches, with capacity to deliver approximately 400,000 barrels per day of crude oil from oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico to other pipelines and terminals onshore and offshore Louisiana. Oil can be delivered to the Auger Oil Pipeline and the Cameron Highway Oil Pipeline.[1]
Oil is received at the SM 205 platform. Crude is supplied from the Amberjack Oil Pipeline and Shenzi Oil Pipeline in the Green Canyon Block of the Gulf of Mexico. Crude oil also comes from oil fields including the Baldpate Oil And Gas Field, Constitution Oil And Gas Field, Front Runner Oil Field and Marco Polo Oil And Gas Field.[1]
