Background
The terminal is a stockyard for coal from Kideco Jaya Agung's Pasir mine. The stockyard capacity of Tanah Merah Coal Terminal is 700,000 tonnes a year. The barge loading facilities can load up to 90,000 tonnes a day. It is then sent to Adang Bay Port for transshipment.[3]
