Teachers Union Exposed is a front group operated by Berman & Co. Berman & Co. operates a network of dozens of front groups, attack-dog web sites, and alleged think tanks that work to counteract minimum wage campaigns, keep wages low for restaurant workers, and block legislation on food safety, secondhand cigarette smoke, drunk driving, and more.
Teachers Union Exposed describes itself as a project of the Center for Union Facts, another secretive front group of Berman & Co. for individuals and industries opposed to union activities. According to Teachers Union Exposed website, it is "a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by foundations, businesses, union members, and the general public...dedicated to showing Americans the truth about today's teachers unions."[1]
According to Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, Teachers Union Exposed "spreads false and defamatory information about teachers unions nationwide."[2]

Teachers Union Exposed Runs Full-Page Ad Calling for Legal Action Against Education Laws
On June 12, 2014, the Center for Union Facts ran a full-page ad in USA Today under the name of its front group website Teachers Union Exposed. The ad called for legal action against education laws, citing the court case Vergara v. California, in which some of California's teacher tenure and firing laws were ruled unconstitutional. It depicted a child inside a trash can and read:
- "How can you stop teachers unions from treating kids like garbage? Sue. Unions are protecting incompetent teachers by keeping them in the classroom. This week, a California court ruled that protection of incompetent teachers is unconstitutional. Can't change the laws to protect kids? Then sue. It worked in California."[3]
