{{#Badges: CoalSwarm|climate change}}Tracy Hammond is an Associate in the Washington D.C. office of Dutko Worldwide.[1] Hammond is part of a lobbying team hired by Americans for Affordable Climate Policy, a front group created in 2008 by "coal-dependent electric companies" including Ameren, Duke Energy, Southern Company, Dominion, and American Electric Power. [2] The group is lobbying against proposals that carbon-intensive industries be required to by carbon credits at auction.[2] Other lobbyists on the account are Andy Wright and Mark S. Irion. The group has also hired Hunton & Williams.[3]

Background

A biographical note on Dutko Worldwide's website states that Hammond "where he works with our energy, environment & sustainability practice groups, while helping lead the firm’s research department. Tracy has worked extensively with individual clients and coalitions alike on issues ranging from oil and gas development to smart grid and renewable energy deployment. Prior to joining Dutko, Tracy was an Account Executive at the Campaign Media Analysis Group (CMAG) while simultaneously earning his Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University. Tracy has also served as an aide to the Minority Floor Leader of the Missouri General Assembly in 1999. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Missouri State University."[1]
