Wafa-Mellitah oil pipeline is an existing oil & condensate pipeline, running from Wafa oil & gas field to the Mellitah Complex, Libya.

Location

The pipeline runs from Wafa oil & gas field, Nalut district, to the Mellitah Complex, Nuqat al Khams district, Libya. It parallels the Wafa-Mellitah gas pipeline.

Background

The Wafa-Mellitah oil & condensate pipeline was built alongside the Wafa-Mellitah gas pipeline, as part of the $6-billion Western Libyan Gas Project, which came online in October 2004. The project is owned by Mellitah Oil & Gas, which is a joint venture between Libya's state-owned National Oil Corporation and Italian firm Eni. The pipeline was built by China Power Engineering Consulting Group (CPECC).
