The Afşin-Elbistan lignite mines are a series (currently only one) of coal mines on the Afşin-Elbistan coal field in Kahramanmaraş province, Turkey. Kışlaköy mine is in use, Çöllolar shutdown due to a collapse, and Afşin-C/D/E are proposed. Afşin-Elbistan contains about 5 billion tonnes of low quality lignite, one third of Turkey's coal. About one tenth of this has been used to supply the local Afşin-Elbistan power complex.

This mine is operated by Afşin Elbistan Linyitleri (AEL). 8 million 600 thousand tonnes were mined in 2017 with 14 million tonnes planned for 2018.
