Bolu Göynük power station sometimes referred to as "Aksa Göynük power station" is a 270-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Bolu province, Turkey.

Background on Plant

The two-unit, 270-MW, $320-million Bolu Göynük power station was built by Aksa Enerji, Turkey’s biggest non-government power producer. Construction on the plant began in July 2012.

In its 2011 annual report Aksa Energy stated that it has an agreement with the General Directorate of Turkish Coal to source coal for the plant from a mine the Bolu-Goynuk coalfield.

The power station was reported as operating in August 2015.
